Lighting sits inside the electrical channel, but it has its own language, relationships, sales cycles, and personalities.
Specification sales is different from distribution sales. Quotations requires a different brain from territory development. Selling for a manufacturer is not the same as carrying several lines for a rep agency.
That nuance is why a broad recruiting search usually misses.
WRS recruits lighting professionals for electrical distributors, manufacturers, and manufacturer rep agencies—and only in the business roles we know best.
We Ask the Lighting Questions
Which side of the channel have they worked on? Who were the customers? Did they own specifications, projects, quotations, a territory, or an operation? Can they manage a long cycle without losing the details?
You should not reach a final interview before discovering that the candidate’s “lighting experience” is nowhere near what you meant.
The Positions We Recruit
We do not recruit lighting designers or engineers. We recruit the business positions we know inside the companies that make, represent, and distribute lighting products.
